Flinders University’s PEWTER program — Programme in Electromagnetic Warfare Technology, Education and Research — is Australia’s only postgraduate EW curriculum delivered at NV1 security-clearance depth, established through a Defence Science Partnering Deed with DST Group in 2020 and administered through the Centre for Defence Engineering Research and Training (CDERT) under the academic leadership of Professor Sam Drake, DST Group Chair of Electronic Warfare. Three progressively credentialled qualifications are available for serving Defence and defence-industry professionals holding a bachelor degree in engineering, physics, or applied mathematics — covering military radar systems, electro-optics, GNSS, electromagnetic propagation, signal processing, estimation and machine learning, advanced radar, and data fusion.
